Note: I apologize for the grouchy tone of this post. I dont think forum regulars are the major problem here, but I want to explain how things are going nonetheless.
The Brag Bag might be partially to blame, but for some reason I've recently been forced to permanently deactivate far more accts for Password Request, *hacking*, and general bad behaviour than usual. A lot more YEARS, combined. Don't want your acct deactivated? Here
is the easiest thing to do:
* Don't as anyone for their . Dont do it ever. THis includes training accounts, best friends, siblings, and everything else. I am forced to mute between 20-30 accts per day for this offence. You don't need to be reported because the system automatically reports andy discussion that is even remotely about emails, hacking, or passwords, I shift through all these automated reports and take action on many of them . Just so you know, the vast majority of permanent bannings come from players who can't stop asking other players for passwords or players we know hyave stolen accounts.
*Don't talk about sex. We don't know how old anyone is , so it can;t be toleerated.. If you account says your're 18 or older, yuor first offense results in permanent account deactivation. I dont care if you are a boy or a girl, straight or gay. The same rules applies. DONT (Basically , don't day anythig you don't want a 40yr old .)
* If you have muted already for a conduct violation once,
so you mom talked to yu about rite and wrong? The second offense always results in permanent acct deactivation for Tourist, and often for paying players as well. I couldn't care leass waht level you are. A level 100 account was permanently deactivated yestuday
If your account gets muted, you will get a noticein your ourWorld Inbox. It will tell you to contact support@ourworld.com. No other course of action will do. I erase all PMs here an messages in my ourWorld account regarding conduct violations. For first offences, we normally reactivate the account as soon as we get yur message, =though thy are all done by hand, so if you chat get deactivation on Friday, it will probably not get reactivated until the following Monday at the soonest. Reactivation the chat feature of conduct violators is a low-priority action.
If your account gets muted, it's fair to ask WHY if you really don't know, but i don't spend a lot of time tracking these things down. Some players try to deny breaking the Code of Conduct, and that's irritating. Actions are based on that chat log, not the reports themselves. The reports just tell me whose chat log to look at. If you say "give me ur pass". then you're busted. There is no gray area. If you ask "wanna have sewn?, same thing. Busted. I couldn't care less who was using the account, so if it was your friend, brother , sister, cousin, or somebody "hacked" your acct, too bad NEVER SHARE YOUR PASSWORD
If you break the code of conduct, and were a volunteer, you aren't any longer and never will be one again. ourWorld volunteers shouldn't be breaking the Code Of Conduct at all. We're going tohave so many volunteers starting next week, I cant afford to be really, really, picky.
So, if you don't do anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about. We don't ban players without warning unless we absolutely have to ( like you're breaking the law) and one Email is all it takes to get your chat back if you do make a mistake and get caught.
